Teltonika FMB140 — tracker and CAN reader in one unit
The FMB140 locates the vehicle and reads its data bus at the same time, so fuel level, consumption, mileage and engine RPM come from the vehicle itself rather than from an estimate — with no separate CAN adapter to fit. Specifications below are the manufacturer's.
- 2 CAN
- Vehicle bus interfaces read by the unit itself
- < 3 m
- GNSS positioning accuracy
- 10 – 30 V
- Supply range, with a 170 mAh backup battery
- 55 g
- 65 × 56.6 × 20.6 mm housing, IP41

CAN data
What it reads off the vehicle
With the LV-CAN200 software option the unit ships with, these parameters come straight from the vehicle's own bus.
- Fuel level as the dashboard reads it
- Total fuel consumption
- Vehicle speed from the wheels
- Vehicle driven distance
- Engine speed (RPM)
- Accelerator pedal position
Two software options
LV-CAN200 is the option the device ships with and covers light vehicles, trucks and buses. Teltonika's ALL-CAN300 option extends the parameter set for agriculture and special transport.
Which parameters a given vehicle actually exposes depends on the vehicle. We check the make, model and year against Teltonika's supported-vehicle list before we quote, rather than promising a parameter the bus does not carry.

On-device logic
Events the unit detects by itself
Scenarios configured on the device, so an event is recorded and stored even where mobile coverage drops — the 128 MB of internal memory buffers until the unit is back on the network.
- Green Driving
- Over-speeding detection
- Excessive idling detection
- Crash detection
- Towing detection
- Unplug detection
- Jamming detection
- Immobilizer
- iButton read notification
- GNSS fuel counter
- Auto and manual geofence
- Trip
Configuration and firmware reach the unit over FOTA Web, the Teltonika Configurator by USB or Bluetooth, or the FMBT mobile application — so a change to a vehicle's setup does not require the vehicle to come back to the workshop.
